I woke up this morning feeling at baseline for a change, which is certainly preferable to feeling down. It was certainly a good bit easier to get out of bed today than it was yesterday. Since I do not have anything substantial going on, I am going to have to devise a project for today to keep me engaged and not inside my head – more on the project later on. This morning marks the second day on the increased dose of Pristiq and I am trying not to think too much about it because I don’t want to have a psychosomatic effect. I want to know for sure if it is doing anything at all. It’s probably early in the therapy anyway because the pharmacist said it takes about 6 weeks before Pristiq takes full effect.
So the project for today is to stand up my own DNS server for my home network because I really do not want to use a public DNS server or the one provided to me courtesy of ISP. The ISPs and the public servers are mining our data and reselling it all in the name of profits. It’s amazing how everything needs to factor into making a profit, even the domain name servers. Starting today, I am no longer using these and having my own. Plus uber geekdom demands that I have my very own internal domain. So it will be both a learning project and an implementation. This blog entry will be short because I want to get cracking.
