Frustration With Social Security

Let me be perfectly blunt: my local Social Security office is all fouled up! It badly needs some oversight to come from Washington, D.C. Today, I actually had to fight with the representative to look over my record to see that my Social Security Disability Insurance is out of provisional status and in to what is so-called “continuous.” I’ve been in a three month long fight to get Medicare Part B reinstated. It has been nothing but a fight against an office that doesn’t want to do their jobs. It took a congressional action to get anything done.

Social Security was blaming each other’s own departments and nobody wanted to take any kind of responsibility so I enlisted my representative, Lisa Blunt Rochester. Amazing how when you get a congressperson involved, suddenly things start moving somewhat. Once Medicare Part B gets reinstated, I think I am going to level a complaint against the New Castle, DE Social Security office. Some people from D.C. need to rain down like hellfire on it and clean it up. I wonder how many people have been victimized by this office.

I’ve done everything I am supposed to do and still no Medicare Part B. I’ll just have to keep checking until it is reinstated. Hopefully by week’s end, I will have it. The local office representative told me that she would have taken care of it herself if not for the fact that she does not have access to the system to reinstate it. Nice of her to let me know that. Ugh! So she has to send a message to the department actually in charge of reinstating Medicare for me.

The only positive has been my experience with Lisa Blunt Rochester. She gets my vote in November for US Senate.
