After a long and intense four and a half months, I am officially a Cisco Certified Networking Associate. The periods of trials, tribulations, and self-doubt were many but I passed the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices 2 exam and I achieved a certification that is often sought after. The next hurdle is getting employed in the industry and this will arguably be harder.
I have much to overcome in my resume, including a lengthy gap in which I have been out of the industry. At least I have some decent recruiters looking out for me. I might also pursue some Amazon AWS Certification on my own as well as teaching myself Python. Python is currently the language of networking engineers. I need to at least be familiar with Python and JSON. I am going to pursue these on my own. I am going to buy the Udemy course on Amazon AWS for only like 10 or so dollars.
There might be some new tricks for this old cat. Never count out the old guy. The old guy can pull a few more tricks!!! As much as I hate certifications, I have to get a few more.
