Trump: A Case Study In Failed Leadership

Donald Trump is a textbook case study in failed leadership. Today, Thursday, March 12, 2020 he lied about the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic, he lied about things going smoothly for testing and diagnosis, and he lied about Americans coming back into the country as being carefully screened. Americans can only hope against all hope that he does not get re-elected this year. The social and economic injustice that Trump has unleashed for America is epic. In fact, Donald Trump will go down as the worst president in the history of the United States. His leadership is so abysmal that there is no amount of whitewashing that can rewrite this cautionary tail of electing a low-functioning narcissistic psychopath to a powerful position.

The damage Trump has visited upon us all will take at least a generation to recover from because the Democrats are spineles about enacting programs that would help undo the damage done. I hope come election day Tuesday that Americans will remember Trump’s trope, “Coronavirus. It will go away when the weather warms up.” Very inartful, inaccurate, and indicative of total and complete tone deafness. Mark my words that historians are going to look over these last 4 years of American History under the (sic) leadership of a man totally unfit to lead.

Unironically, Trump’s presidency is the icing on the cake of leadership failings. Trump University, Trump Steaks, Trump Voda, Trump Taj Mahal, and Trump Castle are just to name a few. And what of Trump Shuttle, Trump’s failed foray into the airline industry. About all Trump kept was the eponymous 757 from that fiasco. If it were not for having his father’s money, Trump would have long since been irrelevant. In fact, I will bet that once Trump exits the White House stage left, he will be a pauper. His own leadership failings are now directly effecting him and his own family’s business interests.
