As the title reads, I am quite angry and upset about the injustices inflicted on the working class. I am tired of everything having to be a 10 yard fight with one step forward and two steps backward. Life does not have to (and should not) be this way and it is certainly not in many other countries that have good social welfare programs for the working class. Why is it a struggle to get the medications and healthcare we need? Why are people of color treated so much more unfairly at the hands of the law than so-called white people? Why is it that the pay of the ordinary line employee is 200 times less than the CEO? What does the CEO do that is value producing to a company anyway.
I wonder what the wealthy do that makes them so much more deserving of a better life than you or me. They’re not any more intelligent or gifted than we are. They’re certainly not morally superior as they have no qualms with cheating people out of their resources to get ahead. The wealthy not only steal resources and value wholesale, but they return crumbs and horde money given to them which was supposed to be used to keep the economy running. Tax breaks and incentives were supposed to be used to hire more people and pay a living wage. Instead that money savings is horded in the name of profits and a bottom line.
The good Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a particular grudge against those that would willingly deny healthcare to another human being in the name of profits. He was rather vocal about his disgust of allowing wanton suffering. Dr. King not supported not only people of color but he actually championed the lives of all working class people. We desperately need another leader like Dr. King, a man whom has strength, vision, and clarity.
